Meet the Owners
How Fence Brothers Got Started
Fence Brothers grew out of two different backgrounds that turned out to work well together.
Kyle had always been drawn to hands-on work. He understood building materials, field operations, and what it takes to install a fence correctly in West Michigan soil and weather. He runs the crews, manages the yard, and makes sure every installation holds up.
Alec took a different road first. He spent several years in finance at Capital One before joining the business full-time. That background shows up in how Fence Brothers operates: organized scheduling, clear communication, accurate estimates, and projects that finish on time.
Together, they cover both sides of what makes a contractor worth hiring: the craft and the consistency.

Meet the Team

Alec Trierweiler
Co-Founder & Operations
Before fencing, Alec spent several years in finance at Capital One. He brought that experience into the business: systems, scheduling, estimates, and client communication.
His focus is simple. Every customer should know exactly what to expect. Fence Brothers should deliver on it.
“We want every customer to feel like they knew exactly what to expect — and that we delivered on it.”

Kyle Trierweiler
Co-Founder & Field Operations
Before fencing, Kyle worked as a chef. He stepped away from that career to spend more time with family and build something of his own. Kyle leads the installation crews and manages day-to-day field operations. He oversees materials, the lumberyard, and job-site execution from start to finish.
He knows the difference between a fence that looks right on install day and one that still looks right five years later. He builds to the latter standard.
What Fence Brothers Builds
Wood fencing is the core. Cedar, pine, and mixed materials. Board-on-board, shadowbox, split rail, spaced pickets, driveway gates. Built piece-by-piece.
Beyond wood, Fence Brothers installs:
Vinyl (privacy, semi-privacy, lattice-top, picket styles)
Aluminum (flat top, spear top, curved top, finials)
Chain link (galvanized, vinyl-coated, slatted, security)
Ranch-style fencing (split rail, cross buck, paddock)
They’re also one of the few contractors in West Michigan that installs gate operators.
On the commercial side, Fence Brothers handles projects that smaller contractors pass on:
Aluminum fencing for athletic facilities
Security chain link
Temporary fencing rental
Bollard installations
Commercial work has become a larger part of the company’s projects in recent years. The company handles projects that most residential-only contractors won’t touch.
For every project, they handle permits and Miss Dig coordination. Homeowners and property managers don’t need to figure that out on their own.

A Warranty That Stands Behind the Work
Every fence installation includes a 5-year workmanship warranty. That covers wood installations, too. Many materials also carry manufacturer warranties, depending on the product. A fence should still be performing long after the crew leaves.
